What We Do

First and foremost, we listen. Once we understand your needs, how you intend to use or live in a space, and can then propose a solution. It might be an end to end service, it might be to get your design through planning in order to just add stand-alone value. Either way, we'd be delighted to chat.

Planning & Design

We will listen first of all to what you are hoping to achieve, and guide you also on further options which might include site or other limitations that must be taken into account. We will then come up with a design to meet or surpass the brief, but base this on what we know about cost management, planning policy and a myriad of finer detail needed to be considered from the outset. We can then cost the entire project, and deal with the sometimes time consuming but essential planning process if it is required, and all ‘in house’.

Manufacture & Build

Once the various permissions are granted, we then organise all aspects of the build. We manufacture in the dry within properly equipped heated and vented workshops, using skilled craftsmen and allied professionals. We are happy to complete the project entirely to handover or leave interior finishes to others, whichever the client prefers.

Off-site manufacture remains the key to a perfect project so that assembly on-site is the minimum possible and therefore less prone to weather and other hindrances. Last year we completed an oak framed house exterior to watertight finish within 6 weeks of commencement on site. Off-site manufacture wherever possible is therefore quick, and very cost-effective generally.

Consultation & Advice

Simon has learnt huge skills over nearly three decades and understands the planning system well. He is tenacious in representing his clients, where many other practices might give up or compromise too far and not in their clients’ interests. He is also happy to offer guidance on pre-purchase and speculative schemes before anything further happens or costs incurred, subject to the individual detail involved. Simon has completed many new build homes and other projects, both for himself or in joint ventures as well, so please contact him early on, to save potentially costly mistakes, or indeed missed opportunities.
